Skin cleansing is that part of our skin care routine that we cannot skip. Most often than not we cannot seem to avoid that dry and stretchy feeling that follows a face wash. Since, Dove is such a moisturizing soap, many believe that it is ideal for dry skin or for winter use. However, all skin types could benefit from using a mild cleanser such as Dove. That is because, women with oily skin tend to wash their face often just to get rid of the excess oil but in the process, the soaps can dry out the skin leaving it feeling rough. Dove cleanses only the surface oils and preserves the skin's condition. So, it is good for women with oily skin too! It may not benefit to control or treat acne because it doesn't have any such ingredients, but it won't cause further flare ups either.
Dove Pink is a pH neutral soap containing Stearic acid which moisturizes the skin while cleansing. It is opthalmologically tested safe for use around the sensitive eye area. Therefore, it can be safely used on the face.
I use it as a final rinse to remove all the makeup on my face. It does a brilliant job by not just removing all the last traces of makeup but also keeping skin feeling like skin.
I don't particularly like it as a bathing soap, just because I feel my body needs a little more rigorous cleansing and deodorizing than what this soap can offer. Then again, as much as I enjoy using this soap on my face for the glow it gives, my skin tends to quickly get too used to it. After a while, I don't get the same glowy resultl=[[
